If you are talking about the Flexible Female Pelvic Model it can be ordered from Childbirth Graphics. The pelvic model with the muscles and organs can be found anywhere on Amazon.
How early could this be done (the cold/hot compress) and the pressure toward the head? Is it still worthwhile to do this at our 6 week postpartum check up?
The compresses are really good to be done right after birth, so in the hospital to help reconnect to this area again. At 6 wks if you feel someone is really disconnected to their perineum it’s a great tool, even just the pressure but if someone is traumatized from their birth you need to be careful not to retraumatize. Compression is really good to do if someone is having a hard time contracting their pfm. But get their pelvic bones back in place first!!
This is a cool model. Where can it be ordered?
